Learn to facilitate improvements at Green Belt level
During the Lean Six Sigma Green Belt training, you will learn how to improve business processes by identifying, analyzing, and reducing problems within those processes. You will develop the competencies needed to lead improvement initiatives and secure lasting change. After completing the training, you will be able to execute improvement projects within your organization as a project leader. In short, it is a practical program that you can apply directly in your own work environment.
You will learn how to design processes so they deliver exactly what the customer is willing to pay for. Customer value is central. With this mindset, you simplify processes and achieve higher customer satisfaction.

Who is the Green Belt training for?
No specific prior education is required for this Green Belt training. However, the course is delivered at a higher professional education (HBO) level.
The Green Belt program is designed for (aspiring) project leaders of improvement projects, as well as managers and consultants who want to work with Lean and Six Sigma. Our training also incorporates Agile principles. Essentially, the program is valuable for anyone who wants to improve processes within organizations.
Upon completion, you will be capable of independently carrying out an improvement project as a Green Belt. A Green Belt works in a project-based manner on process improvements and organizational change. A Green Belt is expected to deliver concrete and demonstrable results.

The program: what you will be working on
During the training, you will receive a toolbox full of techniques you can use to help a group of people, a department, or an entire organization make significant progress. These tools are effective in all types of organizations and offer long-lasting value. They are presented in a structured way so you can apply them directly in practice. They will support you not only in your current role but also in the work you aspire to do in the future.
The Green Belt training consists of a combination of theory and practice. We enjoy working with examples and use real-life situations—both ours and yours. This brings the theory to life and helps you apply it more effectively in your own work environment. Throughout the training, a case study serves as a central thread for practicing the theory. You will often work on this case in small groups after the trainer has explained the concepts.
Throughout the program, we move through three funnels: from problem, to cause, to solution. These funnels are tied to the Lean Six Sigma structure, which consists of the steps Define, Measure, Analyse, Improve, Control (DMAIC).
The Bootcamp content at a glance:
- Introduction, including: What is Lean? What is Six Sigma? What is Agile? And how do these methods reinforce one another?
- Define: identifying the problem, determining who the customer is and what their needs are, defining the improvement goal, and creating a project plan.
- Introduction to change management within improvement projects.
- Measure: creating insight by mapping the process in detail using value stream analysis and determining process performance.
- Analyse: identifying the causes of the problem through brainstorming, data analysis, and process analysis, and determining the main contributors.
- Improve: finding solutions for the root causes, selecting the best solutions, and implementing them.
- Control: securing the implemented improvements and establishing continuous improvement.
- Learn how to guide change by creating buy-in and embedding improvements within the organization.
- Exam preparation using a super summary and a practice exam.
If you choose to take the exam, it will be administered on the final day.
The training includes 2 coaching sessions to help you apply the theory in practice. You can contact the trainer to schedule these sessions.

Practical information
The Bootcamp lasts 5 consecutive days. Training hours are from 09:15 to 16:30.
We offer our training sessions at various locations throughout the Netherlands and in Belgium, in both Dutch and English.
After completing the training, you can take the Green Belt exam. Preparation time varies per participant. We estimate that approximately 8 to 16 hours of study are needed to successfully pass the exam.
Coaching package
At the start of the training, you can begin searching for and working on an improvement project. This project is not mandatory for the training, but we highly recommend it, as it allows you to demonstrate your mastery of the tools and techniques.
Successfully completing a Lean Six Sigma project is part of the certification process. In addition to the Green Belt training, you can purchase a package of 4 coaching hours to receive guidance from one of our experienced Black Belts during the execution of your project. This includes personal online coaching as well as support for questions in between sessions via email or phone. Very convenient if you want to work on a project alongside the training and do not have a Black Belt nearby.

The value of a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certificate
Lean Six Sigma Groep is accredited by several organizations, including LCS, IASSC, and CEDEO. This means we meet the internationally recognized standards and requirements for Lean and Six Sigma, ensuring the quality of our training programs.
After completing the training, you will receive an LCS Lean Six Sigma Groep certificate, provided that no more than one training day has been missed. In addition, it is also possible to become fully certified in practice as a Green Belt, with an accompanying certificate. The following requirements apply:
- Completion of the training.

When these three requirements are met, you will receive a full LCS Lean Six Sigma Groep Green Belt certificate.
Please note: Practical certification and the theory exam are not included as standard in the training and can be added when you register.
